We gathered at the Cavendish Hotel in London, which was timely for Christmas shopping. Everyone made the effort and attended with their partners, which made for a very relaxed and social evening.

We held an interesting meeting at the Tewkesbury Park Hotel where each of our engineers was invited to hold court for five minutes on any topic of their choice. This led to an eclectic mix! Topics included:
 
Danger in the Thames - Pat Morgan
History of Cricket - John Vass and Mick Watts (with a very bad Scottish accent)
Leading the Horse - Chris Meering
Sustainability of Equipment - Colin Craney
Gardening - Colin Wood..
 
There were also many work-related topics including CDM and H&S updates.
 
After the discussion session ended, we divided up into groups to tackle various activities, including golf, tennis, squash, pitch and putt, swimming and, in some cases, general slouching! Everyone then met up in the evening for dinner and many drinks - well for some anyway!
