Dunbar & Boardman staff made the most of their fun 'day off' at the
Charlecote Pheasant Hotel near Stratford Upon Avon in September.
As last year, the event was blessed with glorious sunshine, and everyone
had fun tackling a number of sporting pursuits - cross-bow shooting,
buggy racing, blind Landrover driving, human table football and target
golf. After initial reluctance, the human table football proved a
real hit and some people got very competitive! As usual, the speed
demons let rip on the buggies, where as more measured driving skills
were required on the blind Landrover driving.
The crossbow event was won in the first round with some amazing
shooting - 3 straight bullseyes - by Christine Fetter from the London
office, while Cardiff-based Frank Seymour's regular 'business meetings'
on the golf course proved their worth as he amassed a huge tally of points
to win the cup. Other individual prizes went to Bath-based Martin Clarke,
Gary Avis from the London Office and Drew Church based in Manchester.
In the evening, everyone gathered for dinner and Peter Boardman made
one of his shorter speeches. The winning team was led by Mick Watts,
which won by a huge margin - due almost entirely to Mr Seymour's skill
at the chip shot!
Many thanks to Debs for organising the event.
